// What it covers

What the
diagnostic covers.

The full surface area of a deliverability problem. Every engagement works through these layers in order, from the foundation up, before any fix is made.
Layer 01

Foundation

The baseline every sender needs configured before any other work begins.
Foundation Check
SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and BIMI. Properly configured, aligned, and verified. The layer everything else depends on.
Audience Risk
Identify bounces, spam traps, and low-engagement segments. Remove the audience signals that are training mailbox providers to distrust you.
Layer 02

Diagnosis

The audit that identifies the actual cause, not the most popular guess.
System Diagnosis
Complete diagnostic review from DNS to sending history. The actual cause, identified before any fix is attempted.
Ramp Planning
Volume ramp calibrated to your list quality and engagement signals. Not a generic day-count schedule.
Layer 03

Recovery

Targeted remediation once the root cause is confirmed. No unnecessary changes.
Placement Recovery
Identify what is causing spam or promotions placement. Then repair the signal behind it.
Reputation Repair
Blacklist removal, complaint reduction, and the signal cleanup ISPs respond to.
Migration Safety
Move platforms without damaging reputation. Migration planning and delivery verification.
Layer 04

Intelligence

Ongoing signal monitoring. Catch the next problem before it becomes a crisis.
Ongoing Monitoring
Inbox placement tracking, domain health signals, sending patterns. Most clients who come for a rescue keep the monitoring. It costs significantly less than another rescue.

// How I work

Diagnose first.
Fix second.

01
Intake
Full picture
30–60 minutes
Map your sending infrastructure, ESP setup, DNS, and history. Know the full picture before drawing any conclusions.
02
Diagnose
Signal analysis
All channels
Read the signals. Authentication, complaints, domain reputation, list quality, sending rhythm. Rule things out in order, not by intuition.
03
Pivot point
Root
Cause
Where most
fixes fail
Separate the symptom from the actual cause. Low open rates are a symptom. The cause could be SPF, a list import, a sending pattern, a domain reputation, etc. They all look the same on the surface.
04
Targeted Fix
Cause-matched
remediation
Fix only what the cause calls for. No unnecessary platform changes, no warmup you don't need, no blind list cleaning.
05
Monitor
Placement tracking
Ongoing
Track inbox placement after the fix. Confirm the improvement holds. Catch the next drift before it becomes a crisis.
// The deliverable

What you get
after the diagnosis.

Not a call recap. A written diagnostic report that tells you exactly where you stand, what to fix first, and what not to touch.
01
Likely root cause
The specific signal driving your placement issue, identified from the diagnostic data, not assumed from the symptom.
02
The evidence behind it
What I looked at, what it showed, and why I weighted it that way. You understand the reasoning, not just the conclusion.
03
What to fix first
A prioritized action sequence. The highest-impact fix goes first. What comes after, and why the order matters for recovery speed.
04
What not to spend money on
Warmup, migrations, platform switches. If the data doesn't support them, I say so. Knowing what to skip is half the diagnosis.
05
Realistic recovery timeline
Week-by-week expectations from fix to stable placement. What movement looks like, what a plateau means, and when to reassess.
06
Monitoring points
The five signals to watch during recovery. What healthy improvement looks like, and at what threshold to act again.
Most clients arrive having already spent money on a fix that didn't work. The diagnostic report tells you why it didn't move. It sets out what the data actually calls for instead.
